PHC is the creative vision of director and cinematographer John Angus Stewart, whose work is driven by authentic characters and raw, visceral storytelling.

John has directed seven narrative short films, screening at festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, Hamburg and the BFI London Film Festival. He has also created music videos for artists such as DJ Shadow, Amyl and the Sniffers and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, with his promo for Amyl’s Hertz nominated for Best Video at the ARIA Awards.

His feature documentary Chunky Shrapnel followed King Gizzard on tour in Europe and went on to screen across the USA, Europe and Australia. Since then, John has moved into commercial work with campaigns for Crumpler, while PHC continues to exist as both a production voice and a techno focused record label.

John is currently developing two narrative feature films.
