Oliver Bernotat is a director and writer based in Hamburg, renowned for his distinctive visual style and compelling storytelling. Over the past four years, he honed his craft at the prestigious advertising agency Jung Von Matt, where he worked as an in-house film director and concept creative. During his time there, Oliver collaborated with high-profile clients like BMW, Vodafone, EDEKA, and McDonald’s, developing creative concepts and directing scripts. His portfolio showcases a wide range of work, from emotional narratives and humorous pieces to authentic portraits, featuring icons such as Steven Gerrard, Jeff Koons, and Jeremy Scott.

 

Today, he works across various formats, including commercials, documentaries, and serial projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of both client and creative needs. His dedication to delivering engaging and unexpected storytelling has earned him industry recognition, including awards like the Young Director Award for The Catch, Gold at the Andy Award and the One Show for Mercedes BenzAwake, and the Grand Prix Media Award at DWP 2024 for his latest project, We the (in)visible.
