Lino Russell’s journey into filmmaking began with an internship in the camera department at Studio Hamburg, one of Germany’s largest production facilities, where he quickly advanced to Camera Assistant. His passion for visual storytelling led him to the London Film School, where he won the Kodak Student Commercial Award in his final year, launching his career in advertising.

Specializing in the automotive genre, Lino has directed award-winning campaigns for global brands such as Audi, Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, BMW, Subaru, and Volkswagen. His work, recognized for its precision and dynamic visual style, has taken him around the world. Lino is currently based in Hamburg, where he lives with his family.
