Juan Cabral is a renowned director in film, advertising, and music videos. He gained widespread recognition for writing and directing Cadbury’s iconic Gorilla advert, which was voted the UK’s Favourite Ad of All Time. He also created the acclaimed Sony Bravia Trilogy–Balls, Paint, and Playdoh.
Cabral’s visually stunning Ikea commercial Beds won Best Crafted Commercial of the Year from the BTAA and Best Campaign of the Year by Campaign Magazine. In 2016, he was nominated for the DGA’s Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials. More recently, he directed the 2019 Rolex Oscars campaign, featuring filmmakers Martin Scorsese, Alejandro Iñárritu, Kathryn Bigelow, and James Cameron.
